Looking for a creative operator to develop and drive Nextiva’s organic search strategy. As a leader in the Demand Generation team, the Director of SEO will develop and execute comprehensive strategies that maintain and grow Nextiva’s visibility in organic search engines through content, technical SEO, backlinking and ever-improving conversion rates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for acquiring traffic, customers, and conversions through the organic search channel 
  • Manage and develop a diverse team of search pros, including content writers, product experts, optimization specialists and technical specialists
  • Maintain and improve existing rankings; develop strategies to expand into new categories and keywords as product portfolio grows; expand international visibility
  • Plan, produce and publish relevant, engaging content, along with strategies to measure the efficacy of new and existing content
  • Integrate strategies across mediums, including on-page and off-page copy, video, social, communications, and geographies
  • Operationalize SEO best practices across all areas of the business; develop and enforce guidelines, educate Marketing, website and tech teams
  • Drive strategy and execution of technical aspects of SEO, including site architecture, taqging, speed, core web vitals, and the tools needed to collect and analyze results.Define data and tool needs. Collaborate with engineering, IT and web teams to develop a roadmap that supports goals
  • Grow impactful backlinks, using accepted practices; align with partners to maximize Nextiva’s exposure across organic search
  • Drive strategy, execution and overall management of the Nextiva blog, including all content, development and optimizations.
  • Continually push to improve and optimize the customer experience to drive engagement, leads and conversions through aggressive and continual testing
  • Establish and hit targets and KPIs for rankings, traffic, leads and conversions
  • Regularly release action-oriented analysis--that incorporates quantitative and qualitative insights--and keyword ranking reports that align to define KPIs and targets. Reporting should include site crawls, health checks and focus on existing elements and upcoming changes to search algorithms
  • Produce competitive analysis that enables improvements in existing keywords along with category expansion and provides early indications of risks and threats to rankings and targets
  • Collaborate closely with other Marketing teams, including Digital Acquisition, affiliates, and channel teams to develop and deliver on an integrated Demand Generation plan

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years in SEO, including content, architecture, page performance, tagging
  • Proven record of delivering incremental results
  • Passion for helping SMBs grow
  • 2+ years managing teams
  • Strong understanding of website and content architecture and tech stacks (WordPress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Proficient in key analytic, website and management tools and languages including Google Analytics, Adobe, Screaming Frog, SEMRush, AHRefs, Conductor
  • Analytics super powers 
  • Collaborative and flexible 
  • Plus: worked in SaaS environment; international experience
