From smartphones to connected cars, location data is changing the way we live and the way business happens. CARTO is the platform that turns location data into more efficient delivery routes, better behavioral marketing, strategic store placements, and much more.

Everyone, from business analysts to developers and data scientists, use our software and location data to understand where and why things happen, optimize business processes, and predict future outcomes. Trusted by Mastercard, Bain, DPD, Ikea and many more enterprise organizations, CARTO is leading in the Location Intelligence (LI) space, providing cloud native GIS solutions in tandem with Google Cloud, AWS, Snowflake and Microsoft Azure.

To continue our growth, we are looking for a data-driven, commercial and high-energy marketing professional to lead our demand generation function and drive pipeline for our sales team globally.

This role will report to our Chief Marketing Officer, who is based in London.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the demand generation team, nurturing and hiring top talent.
  • Develop and execute campaigns that achieve quarterly pipeline goals, working hand in hand with our sales leaders and revenue operations team to experiment and adapt.
  • Measure and report on pipeline targets, and continually optimize campaigns to increase ROI.
  • Launch integrated campaigns across multiple channels such as events, webinars, paid ads, case studies, reports, ebooks or blog posts.
  • Develop campaigns to reach strategic accounts, working closely with our SDR lead.
  • Own our lead scoring and assignment processes (Hubspot and Salesforce), ensuring it aligns with our current resources and objectives.
  • Optimize our online experience, identifying opportunities to increase conversion across our website and other online assets.
  • Work in Hubspot to create email nurture programs, segmented lists and campaign assets—including emails, landing pages, and forms.
  • Run our events marketing process (a key part of our go-to-market strategy).

You are:

  • Thirsty to learn about the space: yes, you’re passionate about our marketing and sales tech stack, but you’re also keen to know just as much about our customers and the products we sell.
  • Passionate about tech & efficiency: you love technology and using / adopting the best tools possible to improve the way we approach demand generation.
  • Commercial acumen: you care about what moves the needle for opportunity creation, rather than focusing on vanity metrics.
  • Data-driven: you are analytical and passionate about using data to drive an effective demand generation strategy.
  • An exceptional communicator: both internally between departments and externally with clients and partners. You don’t just hang out with the marketers, you make the effort to spend a significant amount of time with sellers, pre-sales, data science and product to gain insights that are relevant to your work.
  • Customer-centric: obsessed by the needs of our clients and prospects, constantly learning about how their challenges are evolving.
  • A true challenger: you’re not scared to challenge the status quo and guide our marketing strategy, working closely with senior leadership.
  • You have bias for action: you get a buzz out of crossing things off your to-do list, you have the “get it done” attitude.

You offer:

  • 5 or more years experience working in demand gen in SaaS or technology businesses, with some period of that spent defining the demand gen strategy.
  • Experience working in North America and EMEA territories in marketing.
  • Fluency in all things Salesforce and Hubspot, and ideally Outreach or Salesloft.
  • Experience working with teams in multiple locations and cultures, ideally having already managed a small team.

We offer:

  • Competitive compensation.
  • Flexible work hours in a focused but casual environment.
  • Excellent benefits, including 100% medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees.
  • Generous—really generous—time off, 401k with match, and stock options.
  • Growth prospects at a truly welcoming, multicultural and multilingual company.
  • A big vision: to help the world use location-based data to make better decisions. We believe that openness and sustainability are baked into this vision, and we’re sharing it with the world.
