We’re seeking a passionate, ambitious, and collaborative Content Writer to join Invoice2go’s Creative Studio. This role will be a crucial resource for creative written content – from brand-sponsored journalism and storytelling to clever headlines and copy for social campaigns.

Reporting to the Sr. Marketing Manager, Content, this role is responsible for owning written content projects and collaborating with various marketing team members to achieve our written content goals. Each day will be varied and creatively driven with projects across our blog, social media platforms, and creative campaigns.


Research new trends in branded journalism and incorporate them into our content strategy with the Sr. Marketing Manager, Content

Create compelling brand-sponsored journalism that speaks to The Female Founders Network, Creative Collective, and Go Getters communities each month

Assist with writing email copy for community events, newsletters, and promotions

Own and manage copy and article requests from cross-functional GTM team members

Create content that elevates Invoice2go’s brand and increases site traffic and click-through rates

Collaborate with the broader team to review analytics to expand and optimize our copy and content for marketing use cases.

Professional Experience/Background to be successful in this role:

  • Media team experience within a start-up environment
  • Exceptional grammar and copywriting skills
  • Excellent portfolio of compelling journalism
  • Experience launching a brand from a written content and copy perspective
  • Marketing channel knowledge - social, blog, display ads, email
  • A polished approach to editing and reviewing content
  • Forward-thinking and an out-of-the-box approach to business-related content
  • A strong sense of accountability and ownership as part of The Creative Studio’s overall success

Expected Outcomes in 6 months:

One month

Build relationships with main collaborators and stakeholders across the organization

Understand the Invoice2go product, our content strategy, and production process

Become familiar with Ahrefs, Surfer, and Google Analytics

Have clarity on all metrics and goals for the blog and resource hub

Support execution of written content and social campaigns 

Three months

Support the team in ideating content and building out our calendar

Work with coordinator to interview small business owners and create compelling content for the blog and social media channels Monitor and analyze content performance

Provide input on our go-to-market strategies for new product launches and brand campaigns to maximize reach

Own definition of KPIs and measurement of content efforts

Report on progress against goals and relevant social metrics

Six months

Own a content series and have a steady cadence of content creation

Conduct ongoing social listening and share customer insights with the team
