Overview 

As Director of Content Marketing at Electric, your job is to strategize and direct the execution of the company’s campaign and editorial calendars. Your team will develop campaigns to be used across the organization, from Brand Awareness to Demand Generation and Customer Marketing. You will collaborate with Revenue Operations to measure campaign performance and optimize your calendar to drive brand awareness, pipeline, revenue, and customer retention.

What you’ll do 

  • Own the Electric campaign and editorial calendar
  • Develop editorial processes that allow for smooth ideation, execution, and measurement of brand campaigns. 
  • Manage and coach a high-performing content marketing team that executes creative multi-format campaigns across earned and owned channels. You incorporate mediums like written content, video, audio, digital interactive, interactive data, direct mail, and out of home to craft campaigns that resonate with and inspire the Electric audience.
  • Track, analyze, and regularly share updates on content performance and its impact on brand affinity, site traffic increases, conversion rate optimization, pipeline, revenue, and customer retention. Collaborate with your Demand Generation partners to decrease customer acquisition costs.
  • Produce and execute on content plans to drive focused outcomes, including: Increase site traffic, reduce content bounce rates, improve site conversion rates, facilitate engagement with social activity, and raise email clickthrough rates.
  • Collaborate with Demand Generation and Content Marketing to align on content distribution strategies and create a feedback loop to inform ongoing content strategies.
  • Source and manage freelance and agency talent 

Who you are

  • You have experience directing a content marketing team at a B2B tech company.
  • You have 4+ years of experience managing internal and external teams.
  • You are a compelling storyteller and have the ability to translate your vision into execution across your team.
  • You are an outcome-focused leader, driving your team toward clear business goals while investing in their personal and professional growth.
  • You know that the ultimate goal is revenue and are able to set strategies to impact leading indicator metrics in order to ultimately drive down CAC and increase revenue.
  • You are fluent in content marketing practices, processes, and tech such as: editorial planning, creative briefing, SEO and SEM planning, audience research, performance reporting.
  • You are just as comfortable in a creative brainstorm as you are pulling Salesforce reports and digging into Marketo workflows.
