Cybrary is seeking a Social Media and Community Manager to foster engagement and build rapport within the Cybrary community to help us grow. The person in this role will be the primary line of communication to our community members and is responsible for managing our organic social media properties and engagement. You will partner with other members of the Marketing team, as well as the Content and Product teams, to ensure community feedback is incorporated into our course content and product roadmap. 

 The ideal candidate has a background in cybersecurity and is passionate about fostering a community among cybersecurity professionals and teams. This position involves driving and continually increasing community involvement and engagement from the broader cybersecurity community. In addition, the Social Media and Community Manager will serve as a brand evangelist that consistently communicates messaging aligned with Cybrary’s Mission, Vision, and Values. 

What you will do:

  • Develop and execute strategies designed to expand and grow awareness, engagement, involvement with and general sentiment and support of the Cybrary brand, company and its mission, vision, and values. This includes monitoring community interests, trends, and events
  • Develop and maintain a community engagement strategy to create enthusiasm, drive & increase digital traffic and engagement of Cybrary learners, and surface important product feedback
  • Educate the community about ever-evolving cybersecurity threats and best practices, resources, etc. available to help succeed against them 
  • Facilitate high-level, peer-to-peer conversations through discussions, chats, and virtual or in-person meetings 
  • Manage Cybrary’s organic social media properties on a daily basis, including posting and engagement
  • Establish guidelines and distinct purposes for each social media platform
  • Partner and work cross-functionally with Marketing colleagues, Content, Product, Sales, and Customer Success to influence new content and product feature enhancements
  • Work with the Cybrary leadership team to champion the organization’s role and relationships in the cybersecurity community as well as other groups related to the organization such as investors, partners, shareholders, etc. 
  • Track performance metrics and inform the development of proactive engagement strategies

What you will bring:

  • 5+ years of social media and community management experience, preferably for an online SaaS platform, showing gradual growth and engagement of members
  • A background in cybersecurity and/or familiarity with Cybrary’s offerings is a plus
  • Organic social media proficiency and experience
  • Independent self-starter comfortable with executive-level communication
  • Exceptional verbal, presentation, and written communication skills 
  • Experience leading and moderating live and virtual conversations
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional role and influence the direction and focus of projects outside of your immediate reporting structure
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership, an ability to manage your business and clearly communicate your results back to the organization


This position may be located in our College Park, MD office, or may be fully remote.
