Overview  

The Demand Generation Manager is responsible for developing, launching and managing highly targeted, multi-touch "acquisition" campaigns that generate pipeline and impact revenue growth attracting net new customers. This person will work to build and implement cross-channel and repeatable campaigns focused on driving demand and multi-product adoption across all digital touchpoints. You will have the vision, expertise, and empathy necessary to deliver scalable campaign experiences that help reinforce Ruby’s reputation in creating connections and building loyalty while helping SMBs pursue their purpose and achieve more. 

This position will report to the Director, Growth Marketing and can be located from one of our offices in Portland, OR or Kansas City, MO metro areas, or fully remote (state-dependent). 

What You’ll Be Accountable For  

  • Manage the execution of growth campaigns in collaboration with the internal agency and Revenue Operations Team from development and execution to reporting on performance. 
  • Own and manage each step of the campaign including writing campaign briefs, working with internal and external resources, managing deadlines with channel and content syndication partners and launching multi-channel campaigns. 
  • Act as project manager for multiple campaigns simultaneously and ensure tasks are moving forward and stakeholders are kept informed.
  • Define, monitor and measure the success of campaigns and make suggestions to refine our approach to enable our broader marketing team to stay agile. Use A/B testing when appropriate to make next-best-action decisions. 
  • Challenge what we’re doing with a constant curiosity to push our growth campaigns in new directions, leaning into creativity across appropriate channels to meet our buyers where they are at. 
  • Work diligently to improve the digital experience for prospects by effectively demonstrating Ruby’s value throughout the customer journey. 
  • Collaborate with product marketing, partnerships, the agency, and our vendors to develop strategies that optimize each digital touchpoint to increase conversion rates and funnel velocity. 
  • Support product marketing in external product and feature launches to drive increased interest in Ruby’s tech-enabled services. 
  • Identify priorities for webpage optimization and redesigns to improve website conversion from known contact to a qualified lead. 

Key Success Indicators 

  • Increase acquisition of leads and speed by which they convert to marketing and sales qualified and closed/won revenue. 
  • Consistent flow of leads to the business from evergreen campaigns plus planned one-time campaigns. 
  • Execute campaigns on time, within budget, while supporting the Revenue Team’s demand goals for each campaign by improving campaign cohesion and engagement. 
  • Increase conversion touchpoints and identify new channels for conversion. 
  • Develop workflows in collaboration with the Partnership Team to optimize relationships across the digital assets available. 
  • Establish channel and industry-specific SLAs with the sales team and support the development of touchpoints post-SQL to ensure conversion to customer.

 Your Background  

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 
  • 5+ years of marketing experience with a combination of client and agency side experience, preferred but not required. B2SMB or SaaS experience also highly valued. 
  • Proven record of successful campaign development across multiple channels and mediums, including digital marketing, email marketing, webinars, live events, and traditional advertising mediums. 
  • Data-driven and has a thorough understanding of how digital and offline channels and tactics align to each stage of the buyer's journey. 
  • Highly proficient in HubSpot and Salesforce—using these tools effectively for campaign building and monitoring. Google Analytics and AdWords a plus. 
  • Performance-driven as you clearly establish deliverables, timelines and KPIs for your projects and ensure initiatives meet and achieve business objectives.  
  • Strong project management skills, and experience collaborating within team tools like Asana, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, etc. 
  • Ability to respond quickly to changing business needs while completing quality projects with multiple stakeholders on time. 
  • Genuine curiosity and a strong desire to continuously learn and grow. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth and collaborative environment. 
  • Excellent people skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and clients. 
  • A desire to make an impact for our SMB community. 

Work Environment 

Work takes place in an open office setting although we’re all working from home for now. It requires the ability to sit/stand and work at a computer for extended periods of time and communicate effectively with a diverse audience in person, by phone and by computer. This position may travel between office sites occasionally.
