About the Job

As a Product Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for creating and owning core product messaging, sales tools, commercial process, and sales enablement content – all in support of developing a killer GTM plan and its related execution. You will report to the VP of Marketing and lead Riipen’s cross-functional efforts to accelerate growth in the Academic segment of our marketplace. You will work closely with Product, Strategy, Sales, CS, and Marketing teams to ensure that clients and prospects alike understand the value of Riipen’s platform and marketplace to drive academic license growth, as well as product adoption and engagement.

The ideal candidate will have proven product marketing experience, preferably in the B2B/SaaS/EdTech space. Your day-to-day is…

  • Becoming an expert on Riipen’s products, differentiators, customers, and competitors.
  • Owning the go-to-market strategy and execution of Academic product/market launches.
  • Driving product adoption/conversion with clear and compelling value propositions, positioning, messaging frameworks, sales collateral, and GTM strategies and tactics.
  • Building training materials and conducting sales enablement training for key commercial teams and segments.
  • Gathering and surfacing audience and industry insights through research, data analysis, and internal input to help shape product, sales, and marketing strategies.
  • Partnering with other teams to drive cross-functional, cross-channel marketing efforts to meet the growth objectives associated with ongoing initiatives.
  • Inspiring action through data-driven insights and executing with operational rigor and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to produce data-driven market stories, case studies, product guides and execute/participate in webinars that support our business objectives.


You’ll be successful in this role if you…

  • Have experience with enterprise products and audiences, online marketplaces, or have worked in the EdTech industry (a big plus).
  • Demonstrate super strength when it comes to managing complex projects with an eye for detail and a bias for action.
  • Are very comfortable using both marketing and sales software (e.g. HubSpot, Seismic, Iterable, etc.) to inform and execute strategic product marketing decisions. 
  • Have a strong gut, but your strategies are backed by data, and you iterate on your approach by gathering feedback from different sources. 
  • Are a creative problem solver with an appetite to always be learning.
  • Can work independently or in groups and know when to ask for feedback or help.
  • Are a strong communicator, both verbally and written, and know your audience.
  • Have 5+ years experience in marketing with progressive responsibility, with a minimum of 2 years of product marketing experience at a technology company.
